Laundry Partner Terms

Last updated 10 October 2026

The agreement between Washday and the laundries and dry cleaners that use it. You accept these terms when you create a laundry account.

1. The parties

Washday is a product of Techytal Design Agency Limited (RC-1903234), a company registered in Nigeria, of 1, Obadina Steet, Abule Oja Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. In these documents, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Techytal Design Agency Limited, trading as Washday.

“You” means the laundry business that signs up, and the owner who accepts these terms on its behalf. You confirm you're authorised to do so.

2. What you get

Software to run your laundry — orders, garment tags, customers, payments, pickup and delivery, staff, reports, inventory — plus your own online storefront, a listing in the Washday directory (you can turn it off), online payments through Paystack, customer wallets and order messages. Features may change as we improve the product.

3. Commission

  • You pay us a commission on every order: currently 5% of the order's services, after discounts (not delivery or pickup fees), unless we've agreed a different rate with you in writing. Your current rate is always shown under Settings → Commission.
  • For a booking from a new customer who found you through the Washday directory, the commission is 10% instead.
  • The rate is fixed on each order when it's created. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing your rate for new orders.
  • Discounts, promo codes, loyalty points and plans you offer are funded by you; commission is on the discounted amount.
  • If an order is cancelled, its commission is reversed.

4. How commission is collected

  • Online (Paystack) payments: commission is taken automatically, and the rest is paid into your bank by Paystack, usually the next working day.
  • Wallet payments: we keep the commission and pay you the rest in one transfer a day.
  • Cash, POS and transfers you collect yourself: commission is invoiced weekly and due within 7 days. If an invoice is more than 7 days overdue, new orders are paused until it's paid.
  • Platform fees charged to customers (such as the text-message fee and the wallet identity-check fee) are added to the customer's bill and collected with commission. They are ours, not yours.

5. Payments and payouts

  • To take online or wallet payments you must add a Nigerian bank account in your business's (or owner's) name. Payouts go only there.
  • Paystack's own terms also apply to online payments. Processing fees are paid by the customer.
  • If a wallet-paid order is refunded after we've paid you, we recover your share on your next invoice.
  • You're responsible for your own taxes, including VAT where it applies.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Provide the laundry service you advertise, with care, at the prices you set in the app.
  • Handle customer items responsibly, and deal fairly with loss, damage and complaints under a clear policy and the law.
  • Keep your prices, opening hours, areas and contact details accurate.
  • Record payments honestly — commission is based on what you record. We may audit records if something looks wrong.
  • Keep staff logins secure, give each person their own account, and remove staff who leave.
  • Use riders and delivery companies responsibly. Delivery accounts you connect (Chowdeck, Terminal Africa, Shipbubble, etc.) bill you directly — we never pay couriers for you.
  • Don't use the platform for anything illegal, misleading or abusive, or to contact customers for unrelated marketing without their consent.

7. Customer data

  • You are the data controller for your customers' records; we process them for you as your data processor, only to provide the service and as described in our Privacy Policy. Customer accounts, wallets and the directory are ours as controller.
  • You must have a lawful reason to collect each customer's data, collect only what you need, and get consent before sending marketing messages (the app records this).
  • Help customers who ask to see or delete their data (Customers → Privacy), and tell us promptly about any data breach you discover.
  • We keep your data secure, only let our staff and providers access it where needed, tell you about breaches affecting it, and delete or return it when you leave (except records we must keep by law).

8. Suspension and ending the agreement

  • You can stop using the platform at any time. Commission already owed must still be paid.
  • We may suspend or close an account for unpaid invoices, serious or repeated complaints, fraud, illegal activity, or a breach of these terms — with notice where reasonable.
  • After closing, you can ask for an export of your data within 60 days.

9. Liability

The platform is provided “as is”. We aren't liable for your laundry service, your customers' items, or indirect losses (such as lost profits). To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the commission you paid us in that period. You agree to cover claims against us caused by your service or your breach of these terms.

10. Changes, law and disputes

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice in the app for significant changes; continuing to use the platform means you accept them. These terms are governed by Nigerian law. We'll try to resolve disputes by discussion first; failing that, the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
